Our surface spray (a full 12 oz) is made from five 100% pure certified organic essential oils, 75% alcohol and natural white vinegar. Vitamin E and Rosemary Extract oils are then added to protect and preserve the organic essential oils to enhance the germ-killing activity. Nothing else. The five essential oils used are carefully selected for their powerful antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties. 

We choose not to use any water whether distilled or purified because essential oils will not blend with water unless you use add a chemical like Polysorbate 20 (a chemical emulsifier to help oils blend with water) which is considered unsafe and carcinogenic to humans. Water also will contain a certain amount of bacteria on its own which means you then have to use preservatives or chemicals to keep it at bay. We never use chemicals of any kind in our products. 

Although 100% of its ingredients are proven to deter viruses, it is just as effective for bacteria as well. Our surface spray is also both soothing and aromatic due to the combination of essential oils used.

Highest Grade Alcohol: Alcohol is one of the most commonly used disinfectants. It kills most bacteria and fungi by acting on lipid and protein components of the cell.

Natural White Vinegar - Vinegar’s acidity is what makes it such a good cleaner. Because vinegar is so acidic, it can counteract some icky buildups. It can dissolve away soap scum and brines left by hard water.

Aloe Vera Leaf:  For thousands of years this plant has been used for healing and softening the skin. We use 99.00% Pure Organic Aloe Vera Leaf.

Organic Food Grade Cinnamon Essential Oil: Which has anti-bacterial properties and nutrients.

Organic Food Grade Clove Oil - Contains antiseptic and germicidal properties that help fight infections.

Organic Food Grade Lemon Essential Oil: Lemon Essential Oil acts as a detoxifying agent. Its anti-bacterial properties can also sanitize.

Organic Food Grade Eucalyptus Essential Oil: The healing benefits of Eucalyptus Oil can be attributed to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, and antiseptic qualities, among other valuable properties.

Organic Food Grade Tea Tree Essential Oil:  Tea tree oil has natural Antibacterial properties making it an ideal natural hand sanitizer.

Organic Oregano Essential Oil:

Scientists have found that carvacrol -- the substance in oregano oil that gives the pizza herb its distinctive warm, aromatic smell and flavor -- is effective against norovirus, causing the breakdown of the virus' tough outer coat.

Organic Rosemary Extract:  Not only slows oxidation but can help soothe the skin.

Organic Vitamin E Oil:  Helps support cell function and skin health. It is also an antioxidant which makes it effective in combating free radicals produced by toxins found in the environment.

Completely organic and cruelty free. No sulfates, phthalates, parabens or fillers. No synthetic dyes or fragrances. It is also free of triclosan, petrochemicals, dyes, synthetic fragrances, preservatives, and harsh ingredients that dry or irritate your skin.  

Always remember to SHAKE WELL and then shake again before each use. Let spray sit on surface for at least 10 seconds before wiping with a paper towel.

Always do a patch test to assure compatibility with any surface. No need to worry about food surfaces either. You may even use the surface spray to mist the air around you and if you get any on your hands - not to worry! It is completely safe. In fact, you could use this on your hands if you have run out of Sweet Harvest Farms Organic Hand Sanitizer and are waiting for more (wink) but it may not be as softening.

While you certainly can just spray and wipe a surface to clean and wipe away germs you may want to leave on a surface for at least 2-3 minutes in order to deeply disinfect. No need to wipe away if you have done a small test on surface to make sure of compatibility. Very little is needed to do the trick!
